BRECp Build History

Version 2.2.1

13 April 2008, build 1

Complete rebuild of previous version with no changes of scope. BRECp Application developed into user-friendly reporting tool.

New version is Windows XP and Vista compatible.

Administrator privileges are required for installation only. The BREVe Application and ActiveX may be run by Users.

Registration is now controlled by Serial number & password for general users and developer ID code for BRECp-enabled developers.

Version 1.0.2

13 August 2001, build 3

Suction property now always significant. Must be true to obtain suction (negative) values and false to obtain pressure (positive) values. (This was previously required only for roofs, but is now required for walls also.)

3 August 2001, build 2

New Licensed Developer mode added for easier authorization within DLLs or OCXs.

30 July 2001, build 1

First release version.

Beta Test version

12 July 2001, build 14

Correction to automatic breadth and depth calculations.

9 July 2001, build 13 to 29 June 2001, build 8

A number of corrections to values and operation of look-up tables.

27 June 2001, build 7

Corrections to look-up tables of Cp. The overall ± 0.2 minimum Cp limit has been removed. The ± 0.2 range is implemented only where defined by BS6399-2:1997, i.e. in Cp tables or, when covered by a Note and interpolating between positive and negative values (eg. Note 2 of Table 28). Otherwise for roof zones where the pressure is always positive, suction = true now gives Cp=0, and for roof zones where the pressure is always negative, suction = false now gives Cp=0. See "BRECp Instructions.RTF" for more details.

8 June 2001, build 6

Roof pitch may be in range from -4.9° to +4.9° for flat roofs, instead of exactly 0°.

4 June 2001, build 5

Interpolated value for wind angle 110° in lookup table for smooth circular walls corrected.

4 June 2001, build 4

Interpolation for H/d with circular walls corrected. New instructions for using corner angle b added to Instructions.rtf file. Check for Note 2 of Table 26 is now applied to values after the reduction factors in Table 27.

16 May 2001, build 3

Eave details may be "sharp", "parapet", "curved" or "mansard", but combinations (e.g. "parapet" and "curved") are not permitted. Duo-pitched and hipped roofs failed to trap this error - now corrected.

8 May 2001, build 2

First release for Beta testing. Includes instruction for developers in .RTF format and a test program in Delphi 5 - source and executable.
