The company, which boasts more than 100 years' combined industry experience, including working on the world's tallest buildings, also offers training in the principles of wind-related issues, the use of appropriate codes of practice, and software development.
The joint venture between RWDI and Anemos will provide both new and existing construction industry clients with a complete engineering service from desk study to wind tunnel model test, through full-scale measurement to failure investigation and expert witness work.

In the Middle East the company has worked on Burj Dubai and Al Fattan Towers in Dubai, and Grand Mosque, Mecca.
Peter Irwin, president of RWDI and chairman of the new company, said: "This is a very strong group of highly experienced and acknowledged experts in the field of wind engineering and environmental air quality. Both companies have strong reputations in the industry. RWDI has worked on high-profile projects in Europe and the Middle East for many years, while Anemos has a very strong UK market presence. Both firms have world-class reputations for having influenced the successful design of some of the world's most prestigious buildings, bridges and industrial projects. We look forward to expansion and growth in the promising future ahead."
RWDI Anemos managing director Paul Freathy added: "Our combined skills and expertise are now unequalled and we will continue to provide clients with technical problem-solving abilities and superior services. Our goal is to reduce risk for our clients, and save them both time and money. The merger significantly increases our human and technical resources to achieve that goal. We will deliver a broad range of services that provide understandable and useful results."
"Our teams back in Canada are very excited about this merger," said Anton Davies, vice president of International Markets for RWDI and a director of RWDI Anemos. "Together, we will provide unparalleled wind-engineering support to current and new clients from our new base just outside London, with a range of services that includes wind loading for structural and cladding design of tall buildings and stadiums, and pedestrian wind studies. We also examine air pollution issues associated with educational, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health care and laboratory facilities. This latter service has been very successfully received in North America."
